Get To Know

Dr. Sam Sage

Dr. Sage is the owner and founder of Sage Family Dentistry. He grew up in the coastal town of Ocean Shores, WA. His mom worked as a dental hygienist, which inspired his interest in dentistry as a child. After deciding on a dental career, Dr. Sage went to Arizona State University and obtained his undergraduate degree in biology.

After this, Dr. Sage returned to his home state and received his dental degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. After graduating, he also completed a general practice residency at the General Practice Residency at the University of Washington.

During this time, Dr. Sage received additional training and experience in pediatric dentistry, anesthesia, and caring for patients with complex medical issues. Passionate about continuing education, Dr. Sage is also a Graduate and Mentor at the Kois Center and a graduate of the Ickert Training Center Implant Continuum.

Dr. Sage founded Sage Family Dentistry in order to provide comprehensive, “all-in-one” dental care in a non-intimidating, judgment-free environment. No matter your dental needs, you’re welcome at our office.

When he’s not working hard at our office, Dr. Sage loves staying active. He loves snowboarding in the Washington mountains in the winter and golfing in the summer. He also loves taking trips back to his hometown of Ocean Shores to go crabbing, clamming, and paddleboarding. Dr. Sage also spends a lot of time with his wife, Becky, and his three children. You’ll often find him coaching them or cheering them on in all of their various sports and extra-curricular activities.

What To Expect

Your First Visit Experience

On your first visit, you’ll check in with our front office team. Then, you can grab a drink from our beverage station and relax until it’s time for your appointment.

One of our team members will bring you back to an operating room. You’ll meet your dentist, then they will perform a comprehensive oral exam. We’ll also take X-rays to check for hidden oral health issues.

Then, your dentist will discuss their findings with you, and whether you need any treatment beyond your next six-month checkup. After this, one of our dental hygienists will clean, floss, and polish your teeth. This removes plaque and tartar and leaves your smile nice and shiny.

Finally, stop by our front desk on your way out. You’ll be able to schedule any necessary follow-ups, then head out to resume your normal daily routine.
